CCTV news(News Network): At 12:00 on September 16, the summer fishing moratorium in the Yellow Sea and East China Sea between 35 degrees north latitude and 26 degrees 30 minutes north latitude ended. At this point, my country’s four major sea areas of Bohai Sea, Yellow Sea, East China Sea, and South China Sea are fully open for fishing.

In Fujian’s coastal fishing ports, more than 700 fishing boats set sail. The local maritime affairs, coast guard, public security and other departments collaborated to escort the fishing boats out of the port area and the dense waterway area.
At Shipu Fishing Port in Xiangshan County, Zhejiang, more than 1,000 fishing boats headed straight for the vast East China Sea. High-quality seafood such as hairtail and pomfret will soon be on the market in large quantities, enriching people’s autumn dining tables.

At present, the marine mid-season fishing moratorium system has covered my country’s four major sea areas, with the fishing moratorium lasting from 3 and a half to 4 and a half months. In the waters that were previously opened for fishing, many fishing boats are now returning with full loads.
Monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs shows that after the summer fishing moratorium, the conservation effect of fishery resources in the four sea areas is obvious, the number of dominant species has increased overall, and the short-term restoration effect of fishery resources has been obvious.
