The American “Dragon” spacecraft carried 4 astronauts away from the space station and set off back to Earth

The American Space Exploration Technology Company’s Dragon spacecraft carrying four astronauts broke away from the International Space Station on the 7th Eastern Time and set off to return to Earth.

According to NASA, the Dragon spacecraft broke away from the International Space Station at 8:05 EDT on the 7th (20:05 Beijing time on the 7th) and is expected to splash down in the sea near California at 11:34 EST on the 8th (23:34 Beijing time on the 8th).

The four astronauts who returned to Earth on the Dragon spacecraft are American astronauts Jessica Meyer and Jack Hathaway, Russian astronaut Andrei Fedyaev and European Space Agency astronaut Sophie Adeno.

The mission team launched from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida on February 13 and arrived at the International Space Station on February 14. The four astronauts stayed on the space station for about 8 months and conducted a number of scientific research experiments and technology demonstrations to prepare for future exploration missions to the moon and Mars.
