The moon is extremely bright during the Mid-Autumn Festival. In military camps across the country, officers and soldiers celebrate this day of reunion in their own way.
A certain border defense company of the Xinjiang Military Region stationed at the foot of the Tianshan Mountains is responsible for the important task of guarding and patrolling the border all year round. In the past few days, the company and students from the No. 2 Primary School in Xingqing District, Yinchuan City have gathered and had a warm connection through the cloud screen. The officers and soldiers combined their own border guarding stories to tell the children what home and country are and what it means to persevere. The students also wrote letters by themselves and prepared heart-warming mooncakes to pay tribute to the border guards and soldiers who stick to their posts during the festival in the most innocent way.
The Shenyang Joint Logistics Support Center organized more than 10 expert medical teams and went deep into several old revolutionary base areas to measure blood pressure and blood sugar, conduct physical examinations, and prescribe diagnosis and treatment plans for retired veterans and people in the old areas for free. The experts conducted detailed consultations and precise treatment, allowing the people in the old areas to feel warmth and care during the Mid-Autumn Festival.
In the camp area of a brigade of the 83rd Group Army, family members of the visiting team entered the military camp and worked with the officers and soldiers to make handmade mooncakes with military camp characteristics. They captured the warmth of family and country in the thick smoke and demonstrated the responsibility of the military with their mutual support and perseverance.
Military family member David Chen: Today, I made mooncakes with my uncles. It felt like the military camp was like a warm big family. I also saw that the uncles had to stand guard to guard the lights of thousands of houses. I think my uncles are amazing. When I grow up, I want to be like them and serve the motherland with a steel gun in hand.
From the foot of the Tianshan Mountains to the Guanzhong Plain, from the banks of the Yalu River to the ends of the earth. While the general public is enjoying the holidays and getting together with their families, armed police officers and soldiers are on the front line of duty, guarding the safety and reunion of tourists.

In addition to duty and combat preparation tasks, the Mid-Autumn Festival in the military camp is equally warm and cozy – kneading dough, making stuffings, making delicious mooncakes, guessing lantern riddles, connecting family members, organizing retired veterans to return to the military camp, and supporting the military and respecting the elderly to collectively send blessings… The officers and soldiers used a series of activities full of rituals to make the military camp feel like home.
