In this festival that is of great significance to the Chinese people, reunion and care are all blended into the affection of fireworks. Some people rush to have a reunion dinner, some relive their childhood memories under the moonlight, and some keep peace at their posts… No matter where you are, the direction of your heart is always in the direction of home.
The gentle moonlight illuminates thousands of lights and reflects the steaming China.
My little family is warm, hello everyone
The moon is the brightness of my hometown, and reunion is the most beautiful footnote of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Appreciating calligraphy, arranging programs, holding poetry performances… In Luguantun Village, Jinghai District, Tianjin, the cheers of reunion rang out from early morning.
Since the resumption of the college entrance examination, the tradition of farming, studying, passing down family traditions, and emphasizing education and establishing schools has allowed this village to have more than 700 college students, more than 60 master’s students, and 17 doctoral students, becoming a well-known “Number One Village”.
During the Mid-Autumn Festival, many students studying abroad return to their hometowns to have a reunion dinner with their families and enjoy the Mid-Autumn Moon. Feng Baochun, a village doctor who has worked on the health front for more than 20 years, prepared mooncakes and fruits for his son who came home from college on vacation early. “Family reunion is the most perfect thing about the Mid-Autumn Festival.” Feng Baochun said.
The Mid-Autumn Festival has a full moon, and the fragrance of Bagui Di Di Pomelo is getting stronger. In Zhangtuan Village, Huanglian Town, Qintang District, Guigang City, Guangxi, the village roads are clean, smoke is rising again, and homes are gradually returning to life after the disaster.
In July this year, sustained heavy rainfall caused damage to some local agricultural and livelihood facilities. If one party is in trouble, all parties will support it. Party members and cadres charged forward and the masses helped each other to repair facilities and resume production. Now, life and daily services in the village are back on track.
During this Mid-Autumn Festival, caring enterprises sent eggs, moon cakes and other condolence materials to the elderly in the village. Village cadres and volunteers visited the elderly, inquired about their health and living conditions, and sent Mid-Autumn Festival blessings.
My family is warm, and everyone is safe. Behind the lights and moonlight, there is a silent persistence.
On the Mid-Autumn Festival, Feng Baochun’s village clinic remained open as usual. “There are many elderly people in the village, and patients cannot wait. Primary medical care is the closest guarantee to patients. Protecting everyone’s health must be the first priority at all times.”
At the foot of Changbai Mountain, Huang Yi, political instructor of the Hengshan Border Inspection Station of the Changbaishan Border Management Detachment of the Jilin Entry-Exit Border Inspection Station, which has been rooted in the border for 20 years, still sticks to the front line during the Mid-Autumn Festival. “The country is home, and the border is the doorstep of one’s home. Protecting this mountain means protecting the reunion of thousands of families,” he said.

The ancient charm is new, the fire is passed down
In the Tianjin Ancient Culture Street during the Mid-Autumn Festival, the square in front of the palace is bustling with activity.
The stilt-stilt team stepped on the drums, colorful clothes flying; the lion dance leaped and picked green, winning applause from the audience; the martial arts teenagers punched and kicked, making every move neatly.
Mr. Li, a tourist from Hebei, and his family were fascinated by the scene and took pictures with their mobile phones from time to time. “The ancient streets and buildings, coupled with the Mid-Autumn Festival performances, are full of atmosphere. We truly feel the charm of China’s excellent traditional culture.” Mr. Li said.
In recent years, more and more traditional folk customs have left the exhibition hall and entered the market, allowing the public and tourists to see, touch and participate.
In the Jin Yan’an Scenic Area located in Yan’an City, Shaanxi Province, during the Mid-Autumn Festival, Northern Shaanxi Yangko, Northern Shaanxi storytelling, traditional acrobatics, etc. were performed in turn. The scenic spot also specially set up a moon worship ceremony in Song Dynasty. Tourists made mooncakes and experienced traditional Mid-Autumn customs and Song Dynasty customs in kneading dough, stuffing and pressing molds.
In the theme market at the foot of Changbai Mountain in Jilin, 37 intangible cultural heritage items at all levels are scattered throughout the exhibition area. Paper-cutting inheritors use the skillful hands of scissors to make ginseng and Tianchi patterns appear vividly on the paper; Manchu incense making, Korean musical instrument making and other handicraft projects attract many tourists to come and experience it.
Zhang Zhiruo, a tourist from Tianjin, said that she originally came to visit Tianchi in Changbai Mountain, but she didn’t expect to encounter so many traditional skills at the foot of the mountain. “Every old craft has its own meaning. You must fully experience the Mid-Autumn Festival flavor of Baishan and Black Water.”

Fireworks are booming and consumption is booming
In autumn, melons and fruits are in abundance, mooncakes are fragrant, and travel is hot. The consumption boom during the festival is rising into vigorous vitality.
During the Mid-Autumn Festival, grain, oil and other livelihood commodities usher in the peak consumption season. As the outlet of the Pinglu Canal, Qinzhou Port in Guangxi is lined with quay-shore bridges and freighters shuttle there. On the front line of the port area, grain and oil are neatly stacked in the finished product warehouse of COFCO Oils and Fats (Qinzhou) Co., Ltd.
“After the Pinglu Canal is opened to navigation, water transportation can directly reach Nanning, Guigang, Baise and other markets.” said Li Jian, secretary of the company’s party committee and general manager.
The opening of the Pinglu Canal to navigation has also opened up more ways to open up the mountains and rivers along the route. Landscapes and cultural landscapes that were once relatively scattered are now being connected together with the help of waterways, becoming a new cultural tourism experience.
At the Qinzhou Water Service Area of the Pinglu Canal, a cruise ship carries tourists to the youth hub. “After the canal is opened to navigation, tourists can take a boat to experience the canal hub and the cross-river bridge up close, and enjoy the historical and cultural landscapes such as Gulong Kiln and Qinzhou Old Street along the way.” Ning Rucai, general manager of Qinzhou Tahoe Changyou Water Passenger Transport Co., Ltd., said that about 700 people made online bookings for the Mid-Autumn Festival cruise.
During the holidays, the red performing arts market in Yan’an City, Shaanxi Province is also hot. Tickets for red performances such as “Yan’an Nursery” and “Thirteen Years in Yan’an” are “hard to get”.
“Tourists can experience the grandeur of the revolutionary years immersively, feel the red temperature and deepen their feelings for their country and family during the performances and interactions.” said Tian Guanghui, general manager of Yan’an Cultural Tourism Industry Investment Co., Ltd. of Shaanxi Tourism Group.
From the freighter cruise along the canal, to the red stage at the foot of the Pagoda Mountain, to the taste of reunion on thousands of tables, steaming fireworks are rising everywhere, and there is endless vitality.
