Coinciding with the Mid-Autumn Festival, the 2026 Attention Streaming Dance Competition Hong Kong Division Offline Roadshow Competition officially kicked off on September 25 at the Asia Television Center in Hong Kong. Zhang Chaoyang, founder, chairman and CEO of Sohu, attended this competition and started this transnational trendy dance event with dancers and audiences from all over the world.
The first place in the road show competition in Hong Kong, China, “BeatS Crew”
This event is star-studded, with many celebrity artists and top professional dancers forming a luxurious guest lineup. Shen Xiaoting, Liu Duolian, Modyssey, Wang Yiren, Shen Jimin, and Han Dong served as the star promoters of the event, and Han Dong also served as the star judge; Riki Maru and Cui Yingjun served as super judges, scoring and controlling the event with an international professional perspective; Duan Yixuan and Xu Ziyin made a surprise appearance on stage as supporting guests; senior domestic dancers such as Grandson Mao Ning and Tangyuan Yuanzhou sat on the judging bench.
Top international dancers share the stage and 35 groups of dancers compete for tickets to the grand ceremony
Before the start of the contestant road show, mainland Chinese artists Duan Yixuan, Xu Ziyin, and Wang Yiren took the lead, bringing their powerful singing and dancing to the stage, instantly igniting the atmosphere of the entire venue. Immediately afterwards, celebrity promoters such as the Modyssey boy group and Korean artists Shin Jimin, Yoo Da-yeon, Shen Xiaoting, etc. successively presented exclusive stages, and many artists premiered new works and original choreography works. The wonderful performances with diverse styles not only provide professional stage demonstrations for participating dancers, but also allow the audience to immerse themselves in the charm of international trendy dance.
The registration phase of this event was extremely popular, attracting over 100 teams to sign up. After strict online screening, 35 high-quality dance groups broke through and entered the offline competition stage in Hong Kong. The contestant competition was divided into two halves. Each team took the stage to perform their own works. In the first half, a total of 17 teams took the lead. The judging panel will give comprehensive scores based on multiple dimensions such as choreography creativity, technical completion, musical understanding, and stage appeal. The competition schedule also includes an on-site comment session by guests. The guests will give practical suggestions from multiple perspectives such as action details, choreography logic, and stage scheduling, allowing contestants to receive professional guidance while competing.

In the second half of the competition, the stage performances of the judges and guests continued to raise the level of the competition. Senior judges Sun Tzu Mao Ning and Tang Yuan Yuan Zhou presented iconic stage works, combined with many years of industry experience, and exchanged creative ideas face-to-face with participating dancers; Han Dong, a member of the Korean girl group DreamCatcher, presented a wonderful stage show; Japanese super judge Rikimaru presented a top choreography stage and started the “Dance Copy Challenge” on the spot, improvising original choreography clips and interacting with Cui Youngjun, empowering this event with top professional strength.
After fierce competition, “BeatS Crew” won the first place in this road show, “You are not the car owner, you can’t understand my suffering” won the second place, and “Zhuhai mmchk” and “Seven School Dominators Fully Powered” tied for third place. Zhang Chaoyang and three judges representatives jointly awarded honors and encouragement to the top three teams. The winning team will receive an invitation to the “Attention Flow Dance Ceremony” at the end of the year. As a representative of the Hong Kong competition area, they will share the stage with the winning dancers of national sub-stations and online tracks, and showcase the style of Hong Kong dancers on the annual big stage.
After the awards, the one-and-a-half-hour random dance carnival started. Artists present took to the stage one after another, breaking the boundaries between the stage and the stage. They danced and interacted with the music impromptuly with the contestants and dance broadcasters, pushing the atmosphere to the climax.
Four years of deep cultivation of interest ecology and attention flow continue to build a stage for dancers to showcase
As the first offline event of the Concerned Flow Dance Competition in Hong Kong, this road show is an important step for the event to explore cross-regional layout and promote the exchange of trendy dance culture. Zhang Chaoyang said in an interview with the media before the game that Follow Stream is a real-person social platform for videos and pictures. Dancers are very willing to express themselves through videos, so they especially like to post content on it. He emphasized, “For creators, the attention stream is a 24-hour uninterrupted creative position, with real fans and real audiences for interactive feedback.”
Different from other algorithm-driven self-media platforms, the core of Sohu’s video attention stream is “people-to-people social interaction.” Users repost and comment on each other, gathering people with real passion in various fields, forming a vivid community of fans, including trendy dance, Chinese style, two-dimensional, Hanfu and other diverse vertical categories. Among them, Trendy Dance has built a complete ecosystem covering celebrity artists, popular dance broadcasters, and professional dancers, and has gathered a large number of dance enthusiasts. It is a highly active and creative dance creation and exchange platform in China.
Since the launch of the event IP, the Attention Stream Dance Competition has been held for four consecutive years. From an online submission solicitation with universal participation, to a multi-city offline roadshow competition, to the annual grand ceremony concluding with a top lineup, it has gradually grown into a benchmark dance event IP with both public participation and professional recognition.
