Recently, it is estimated that many people have received the news that Apple has taken action to rectify the Shake advertising.
The details are that Apple recently released iOS 27.2 Beta 2 (Developer Edition), and then added a new feature. In “Settings-Privacy and Security-Sports and Fitness”, there is a new option, which is Restrict Motion Data.
What is the use of this function? In fact, it restricts APP from using data from motion sensors such as accelerometer and gyroscope.

What’s the use of this? In fact, it is to combat “shake advertising”.
Speaking of this “shake ad”, it is estimated that many people have a deep understanding of it and hate it deeply. It’s no longer the case that you take the initiative to shake it and trigger ads.
But as long as you open the APP, any small movement will cause these APPs to open ads or even jump to another APP. The reason is that these APPs use accelerometers and gyroscopes, so as long as you shake your hand, the ads will be triggered, and you cannot turn them off.

Obviously you just want to check a courier, but when you finally open the APP, you jump directly to Taobao, JD, PDD and other platforms; you obviously just want to read a novel, but when you open the APP you don’t see the novel, but jump to Meituan, Ele.me and other platforms.
Over the past many years, users have been battling with these apps, but they have never succeeded.
Although some Android phones have similar functions, they are actually not very easy to use, and if you restrict these permissions, some apps will simply exit and not be used by you.

But with Apple, it’s different. First of all, you can individually restrict a certain APP from calling these data, and target it accordingly. Which APP annoys you the most? You can directly ban it from calling exercise data, and the ads will disappear after you shake it.
Secondly, Apple’s privacy protection policy determines that your APP cannot negotiate terms with Apple. If you say that it is not allowed to call the permission, it will not be used by the user? Apple will take it off the shelves for you in a minute, so don’t go to the Appstore and go play it yourself.
After this function was launched, after repeated testing by users, as long as this function is turned on for a certain APP, even if you shake the phone to remove the afterimage, the app’s shake ads will no longer appear, let alone jumps.
