September 19 is Youth Day of the 2026 National Cyber ​​Security Awareness Week.

This week, the school held a special course on Internet security. The teacher talked about many real cases such as AI cloning voice fraud, phishing link theft, and leakage of information on express delivery orders. I sat in the front row and listened very carefully.

As soon as I entered the house after school, I was stunned: Isn’t this what the teacher called “risk for the whole family”? Grandma was holding up her cell phone and chatting animatedly with an unknown number. Dad was pointing at the “Points to Redeem Red Packet” link in the text message and clicking on it. Mom had unpacked the express box and threw it at the entrance. The name, phone number, and house number on the receipt were clearly visible.

I sealed myself as an “official” on the spot – from today on, I will be the “little Internet guard” of my family.

我教奶奶: If someone calls from a stranger claiming to have won a lottery, something happened to a family member, or wants to transfer money, hang up first. If you are unsure, call your family first to verify. Now she is more wary of receiving scam calls than I am.

我教爸爸: I didn’t click on links I didn’t recognize, didn’t click on incorrect URLs, didn’t click on links that said I had won a prize or that my account was abnormal, and I even installed an anti-fraud APP for him.

我教媽媽: Use a marker pen to mark out the information on the express delivery slip before throwing it away. When receiving the goods, do not write your real name or address in the delivery cabinet. Now, the first thing she does after unpacking the express delivery is to scribble on the slip.

Be a good little guard and protect yourself: Do not add strangers to the Internet, do not trade game accounts privately, do not post school uniforms and school location, and do not use birthdays and student IDs as passwords.

Back at school, my classmates and I made a handwritten newspaper about this knowledge and posted it on the bulletin board. The principal said that we would copy it and post it to every class in the school. I was very proud of it.

I used to think that Internet security was a matter for police officers, but now I know that we teenagers are also a line of defense. The more you learn about internet security, the more you will be able to protect yourself and your family.
