There are three teams in Group B: China, Kazakhstan, and the Philippines. In the first game between the Kazakhstan team and the Philippines team on the 17th, the Philippines team seized the opportunity on key points and took the lead at 29:27. Then the Kazakhstan women’s volleyball team launched a counterattack, winning three consecutive games at 26:24, 25:23 and 25:19, and finally reversed the Philippines team 3:1. The Philippine team suffered two consecutive losses in the group stage and missed the quarterfinals.

Irina Kuznetsova, a member of the Kazakhstan team, said after the game: “In the first game, the team members obviously felt that the cooperation was not smooth. However, we studied the Philippine team’s playing style during the game, followed the coach’s instructions, made timely adjustments, and fully implemented the tactics. By the second game, the cooperation on the court was much better.” Irina, who won the bronze medal in the women’s volleyball team at the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games with the team, expressed her expectation to achieve better results than that year at this Asian Games.

According to the schedule, the Chinese team will face the Kazakhstan team on the 18th to compete for the top spot in Group B.
