The sources of the above-mentioned animal and plant products are unknown and may carry animal pathogens such as African swine fever virus and highly pathogenic avian influenza virus, as well as plant quarantine pests such as oceanic mealybugs and Mediterranean fruit flies. Once brought into the country, they can easily cause major animal and plant epidemics, harm my country’s agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery production, and threaten national biosecurity.
Customs reminder: It is prohibited to carry or send meat, bird’s nests, fresh fruits and other items into the country without approval. If you carry any, you should take the initiative to declare it to the customs. Anyone who violates the regulations will be held accountable by the customs in accordance with the law.
