6.709 million people entered and exited during the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday

According to a report from the National Immigration Administration, border inspection agencies across the country protected a total of 6.709 million Chinese and foreign personnel entering and leaving the country during this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival, with an average of 2.236 million passengers per day, an increase of 16.8% compared with last year’s Mid-Autumn Festival. The peak of single-day customs clearance occurred on September 26, reaching 2.342 million passengers. in:

Mainland residents entered and exited 3.206 million times, an increase of 5.3% compared with the same period last year;

There were 2.775 million entries and exits by residents from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, an increase of 27.7% compared with the same period last year;

728,000 foreigners entered and exited the country, an increase of 37.7% compared with the same period last year;

Among foreigners entering the country, 247,000 entered the country under the visa-free policy, an increase of 32.7% over the same period last year.

A total of 309,000 inbound and outbound transportation vehicles (vessels, trains and vehicles) were inspected, an increase of 8.6% compared with the same period last year.

In accordance with the unified deployment of the National Immigration Administration, border inspection agencies across the country have made every effort to ensure customs clearance during the holidays, scientifically predict and timely issue peak warnings for inbound and outbound passenger flows at ports, and provide a reference for the general public to travel; strengthen service organizations, open sufficient inspection channels, provide guidance and assistance to passengers who need special care, and make every effort to ensure the rapid customs clearance of Chinese and foreign tourists; work closely with each other, strengthen emergency response, and ensure the comprehensive guarantee of passenger flow diversion and transportation support during peak periods. During the Mid-Autumn Festival, entry and exit at ports across the country were safe, efficient and orderly.
