Yangtze River Delta Railway welcomes return passenger flow peak today: 3.9 million passengers are expected to be transported, ticket allocation will be dynamically adjusted

(hereinafter referred to as “Shanghai Railway Group”) that today is the sixth day of the National Day holiday, and the Yangtze River Delta Railway will usher in the peak return passenger flow during the holiday, with an estimated 3.9 million passengers on that day. Starting in the afternoon, railway stations in Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Hefei, Ningbo, Nantong, Yancheng, and Yangzhou will welcome the concentrated passenger flow returning during the festival. On October 5, Shanghai Railway Group sent 3.841 million passengers. Since the launch of transportation during the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday on September 23, as of October 5, the Yangtze River Delta Railway has carried a total of 44.83 million passengers, with an average daily transportation of approximately 3.448 million passengers.

As the National Day holiday enters the second half, the return passenger flow of the Yangtze River Delta Railway has increased significantly. Passenger flow at Shanghai Hongqiao Station, Nanjing South Railway Station, and Hangzhou East Railway Station continues to be high. Stations along the lines such as Suzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou, Jiaxing, and Huzhou are simultaneously experiencing peak return journeys. Passenger flow from the Yangtze River Delta to Changsha, Nanchang, Beijing, Wuhan, and other directions is simultaneously increasing.

In order to fully meet the travel needs of passengers, on the 6th, the Yangtze River Delta Railway Department planned to operate 553 additional passenger trains based on the launch of the peak line operation chart. Among them, it is planned to add 186 long-distance passenger trains to and from Nanchang, Changsha, Wuhan, Zhengzhou, etc. in the Yangtze River Delta, and 367 short-distance passenger trains to and from Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Hefei, Jinhua, Huangshan, Wuhu, Fuyang, Bengbu, Suzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou, Xuzhou, Lianyungang, Yancheng, etc. Organize the reconnection operation of 425 EMU trains, add 136 regular-speed trains, and plan to open 342 additional night high-speed trains from the evening of October 6 to the early morning of October 7, focusing on supplementing the transport capacity in popular directions such as Fuyang and Bozhou to Shanghai and Hefei, Xuzhou and Lianyungang to Shanghai and Nanjing, and Hefei and Bengbu to Shanghai.

As of 8:00 on October 6, there are still tickets left in the Yangtze River Delta region for directions to Qingdao, Luoyang, Jinan, etc., and the remaining popular directions are tight during some periods.There is a strong flow of passengers to and from central cities such as Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Nanjing in the Yangtze River Delta region and popular cities within the jurisdiction such as Wenzhou, Taizhou, Yancheng, Yangzhou, Nantong, and Fuyang, and the remaining tickets during some popular periods are tight.. Although some popular direct trains are sold out,The railway department has dynamically adjusted the ticket allocation through big data analysis.
