People’s Daily Online, Beijing, September 29 (Reporter Yin Xingyun) As the National Day is approaching, 10 groups of three-dimensional flower beds have been unveiled along Chang’an Avenue in Beijing. In addition to three-dimensional flower beds, Beijing has also used about 450,000 flower pots to arrange about 7,000 square meters of ground flowers along Chang’an Avenue.
According to reports, 10 groups of three-dimensional flower beds have been carefully arranged along Chang’an Avenue between Jianguomen and Fuxingmen. The Jianguo Gate begins with the “Continuous Long March” flower bed, and the Fuxing Gate begins with the “Go Forward Bravely” flower bed. Among them, the four groups of flower beds in Dongdan embody the deep cultivation of new productivity and the focus on high-quality development; the four groups of flower beds in Xidan embody the promotion of urban-rural integrated development and the joint construction and sharing of a better life.
This year, 50 new and high-quality flower varieties made their debut in Chang’an Street flower beds, including 22 domestically bred new varieties and 28 new imported varieties from abroad.
The three-dimensional flower beds on Chang’an Street strive to promote the in-depth integration of art and skills. Through the integration of multiple processes, a lifelike landscape shape is created to fully demonstrate the superb level of horticulture. In the “New Quality Pilot” flower bed, the 9-meter-high robot pursues precise shaping at the level of artistic shaping, integrating metal and plant elements. The strong texture contrast brings an impactful sense of future technology. In the “Harmonious Symbiosis” flower bed, a girl played “My Motherland and Me”, and the beautiful sound of the piano conveyed the rhythm of life. The flower bed used floral art and other techniques to vividly display 12 animal shapes, vividly interpreting the concept of harmonious symbiosis between man and nature, and demonstrating the fruitful achievements of the capital’s ecological civilization construction. The “Garden Life” flower bed presents diverse scenes such as vertical greening of buildings and rooftop gardens, showing the new connotation of three-dimensional construction of colorful greening and leading a new form of garden city construction.
This year, the Beijing Municipal Landscaping and Greening Bureau continues to deepen and expand the practical path for citizens to participate in the co-construction, co-governance and sharing of garden cities. It held the third “Thousands of Households” Flower Blessings to the Motherland event, collecting flowers carefully cultivated by citizens from all over the city, and after selection and evaluation, they were integrated into the Chang’an Street flower beds. The flowers in citizens’ homes decorated the core landscape of Chang’an Street for public viewing, vividly practicing the beautiful vision of “everyone in the garden city taking action”.
