The 2026 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit will be held from November 2 to 5

The World Internet Conference held a press conference today (29th). The reporter learned from the press conference that the 2026 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit will be held in Wuzhen, Zhejiang Province from November 2 to 5. With the theme of “Open Source, Openness, Co-construction and Sharing – Working Together to Build a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace”, this Wuzhen Summit will invite representatives from governments, international organizations, enterprises, experts and scholars from around the world to conduct in-depth exchanges around the concept and practice of open source and open development of artificial intelligence from multiple dimensions such as innovative development, security governance, civilizational exchanges, and international cooperation, and jointly explore how to further promote technology openness, innovation collaboration, and achievement sharing in the new stage of rapid development of artificial intelligence.

It is understood that this year’s Wuzhen Summit will also set up 27 sub-forums to conduct exchanges and discussions around topics such as global governance initiatives, cyberspace cooperation, theories and policies in the digital intelligence era, robots and embodied intelligence. The main forum will set up an “Artificial Intelligence Wuzhen Dialogue” session, inviting the world’s leading technology companies, heads of well-known open source large model companies, and artificial intelligence scientists to have a dialogue on the same stage, and conduct exchanges around topics such as the construction of a global artificial intelligence open source ecosystem.

In addition, this year’s collection of practical cases for “Working Together to Build a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace” received a total of 360 application cases from 80 countries and regions around the world, of which 22 countries and regions participated for the first time. The World Internet Conference Leading Technology Awards collected more than 430 scientific and technological achievements from 43 countries and regions. Among them, 18 countries and regions participated for the first time, and the number of international applications increased by 21% compared with last year.

As one of the important activities of the Wuzhen Summit, this year’s “Light of the Internet” Expo has the theme of “Smart Internet, Wisdom for the Future”. So far, more than 400 companies have been invited to participate in the exhibition. The “Straight to Wuzhen” Global Internet Competition will also be completely upgraded, setting up five major tracks: digital medical care, smart connected travel, smart terminals, smart manufacturing, and new consumption, two major scene competitions of new mobility and AI+ manufacturing, and two major special events, the Open Source Competition Challenge and OPC.

The 2026 World Internet Conference Outstanding Contribution Awards cover nearly 20 countries and regions, covering many fields such as artificial intelligence, information communications, robotics, and medical health. The World Internet Conference’s “Global Young Leaders Program” attracted more than 2,600 outstanding young people from more than 140 countries and regions around the world to sign up, which is a significant increase compared with previous years.
