Recently, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of the State, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, wrote back to all members of the “Zhangzhou 110” in Fujian Province, cordially encouraging them and raising high expectations.
Xi Jinping said in his reply that “Zhangzhou 110” is a bright business card of the public security system, which left a deep impression on me. I am very pleased that you have been widely praised for your hard work in serving the people and protecting people’s peace as you take root in the front line of the police force.
Xi Jinping said that the people’s police have the heavy responsibility to protect the happiness of the people and the security of the country. It is hoped that the majority of public security officers will adhere to their original aspirations of serving the people, carry forward fine traditions, be committed to their responsibilities and contributions, solve problems for the masses with heart and soul, guard the lights of thousands of homes conscientiously, and be loyal guards of the Party and the people.
“Zhangzhou 110” is now known as “Zhangzhou 110 Detachment of the Public Security Bureau of Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province”. Since 1990, it has innovated and continuously optimized the 110 alarm service rapid response mechanism. It plays an important role in combating crime, maintaining public security, and serving the masses. It is an outstanding representative of grassroots units of public security agencies across the country. During his work in Fujian, General Secretary Xi Jinping visited the police force three times to guide and promote the construction and development of “Zhangzhou 110”. Recently, all members of the “Zhangzhou 110” wrote a letter to the General Secretary, reporting on how they have kept in mind their instructions and served the people, and expressed their determination to fulfill their duties and take on their responsibilities in the new journey.
