According to the Daily Economic News, as Zhong Xuegao gradually disappeared from public view, a Weibo post by Luo Yonghao made it a hot topic again. A few days ago, Luo Yonghao complained on Weibo that a certain brand of ice cream was “unpalatable” and commented, “It feels much more unpalatable than Zhong Xuegao. I miss Zhong Xuegao.”
In May this year, 508 pieces of intangible assets owned by Zhong Xuegao Food (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. were sold at a judicial auction for 21.1 million yuan, and no new news came subsequently. Yesterday (September 14), according to the National Enterprise Bankruptcy and Reorganization Case Information Network, 508 intangible assets of Zhong Xuegao Company had been transferred to the name of the buyer. News that Zhong Xuegao might be resurrected also spread like wildfire.
Now, the news of the restart has been finalized. On September 15, a reporter from “Daily Economic News” learned from relevant sources that Zhong Xuegao will appear at the 28th China Ice Cream Industry Expo. The exhibition will be held in Tianjin from September 16th to 18th.
It is reported that this exhibition is also the first appearance of the Zhong Xuegao brand after its changes this year.According to on-site exhibition staff, Zhong Xuegao will not only display at this expo, but also bring more product plans and the latest news.

Zhong Xuegao was born in Shanghai in 2018 and quickly broke through with its unique tile-like shape and “high-end” positioning. Even though the unit price is far higher than that of similar products, it still achieves hot sales online and offline thanks to the traffic dividends of social platforms. In 2021, the brand will usher in a highlight moment: it completed a 200 million yuan Series A financing at the beginning of the year, and became an official partner of the National Olympic Sports Center at the end of the year. Sponsorship activities have continued one after another, and the limelight is unparalleled.
The turning point began when controversy erupted. The “Ice Cream Assassin” complained about its pricing strategy, and the question of “not melting at 31°C for an hour” triggered product quality disputes. Subsequently, negative news such as wage arrears and equity freezes followed one after another.
On the evening of May 28, 2024, Lin Sheng launched a live broadcast on Taobao, with products including sweet potatoes, Zhong Xuegao ice cream, cheese, rice dumplings, etc. Lin Sheng said in the live broadcast room that Zhong Xuegao has not been operating very well in the past year. “It is mainly my responsibility and my problems, which have led to very tight capital flow, and even a large number of employees’ salaries, compensation, and reimbursements have not been paid in time. No matter what happened to the company, we actively reflect on it and work hard to save ourselves, so no matter what method is used, we will continue to sell Zhong Xuegao, start live broadcasts or do other things, hoping to restore the company to normal operation as much as possible and pay back the money owed little by little.”
On July 16, 2025, Zhong Xuegao Food (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. filed a new bankruptcy review case. The applicant was Shanghai Zhenliu Trading Co., Ltd., and the handling court was the Shanghai No. 3 Intermediate People’s Court.
According to the case announcement, during the execution, the court found that Zhong Xuegao was unable to pay off due debts and that his assets were insufficient to pay off all debts. Upon application by creditors, the court suspended execution and transferred the case of the person subject to execution for bankruptcy review.
